Team, For the Honeyd Challenge I decided to port honeyd to win32. It was no easy feat. I had to port libevent, libdnet to msvc, and then honeyd itself. All functionality except subsystems works. I have tested it as much as possible and with a very large config provided by Niels and it has not had a single problem. You can download a binary and source zip from my website http://datanerds.net/~mike/binaries/honeyd-0.5-win32.zip and a diff is available from http://datanerds.net/~mike/diffs/honeyd-0.5-win32.diff NOTE: I will be moving this files to our corporate server(http://www.securityprofiling.com) later tonight and will re email the list with the new updated URL when that happens. Our corporate webserver has a very large pipe to the net so I will be hosting the win32 port there. If you do post links to download the files please use the new URL I will provide you with. My personal server does not have a lot of bandwidth. All of the dependences required to build honeyd-win32 are located at http://www.datanerds.net/~mike/binaries including libevent-win32, and libdnet-msvc. Furthermore, located in the above zip file is a WIN32_README.txt which contains documentation, compilation instructions, etc. Also, I took the liberty of converting the honeyd man page to html and that file is named honeyd.html and is located in the above zip. Please contact me at this email address with any questions or comments. Thanks, Michael A. Davis Software Engineer SecurityProfiling, Inc. http://www.securityprofiling.com
