Honeyd Overview

Honeyd is a low-interaction virtual honeypot:
Supports IP level protocols:
Simulates arbitrary TCP/UDP services.
ICMP requests and replies.

Creates virtual hosts and routing topologies:
As many hosts as available address space.

Distributed operation and integration of real machines.

Adapts different operating system personalities:
Reads an Nmap/Xprobe fingerprint files.
Fools Nmap and Xprobe2.
